Simon (David Gallagher) talking to his friend Kyle (Jonathan Patterson) after school.  Simon comes home from school with his friend Kyle. He asks his mother to leave so they can talk because they had a rough day at school. Annie leaves. The boys are upset about a video about sex they had to watch in health class.  Annie comes back in along with Mary and Lucy. Mary and Lucy are excited about the senior prom and hope that Matt still doesn't have a date. The girls figure if Matt doesn't have a date, he can take one of them. (I am guessing no on that one).  Kyle and Simon head upstairs, and Kyle tells Simon his sisters are foxes. Simon asks him not to use "animal references" (at first, I thought Simon was just grossed out by his friend finding his sisters attractive, then I recalled what he said about the monkey. I used to totally find it gross when my friends thought my brothers were good-looking).  and Ruthie, who is coming down, overhears and says, "I don'

Annie (Catharine Hicks) and Eric (Stephen Collins) are enjoying a romantic breakfast for two when Matt (Barry Watson) comes into the kitchen.  The Camden parents are enjoying a romantic breakfast. Eric wonders why it's so peaceful and quiet and Annie says it doesn't matter cause they can deal with it later for now they should enjoy the quietness. Matt comes in with the mail and hands it to his father. He heads upstairs, but comes back down to tell them "I'm in." They are excited, but Matt doesn't look too happy. Eric figures it must be the college near them.  Lucy and Mary are in their room. Lucy is talking on the phone about Jeff Wilson who said she was "cute." Mary is reading Lucy's diary. Lucy storms out of the room after exclaiming, "I can't take it anymore!" Annie tells Eric that Matt is going to want to live on campus but Eric says he can't. She says Matt could if he had a job, and again Eric says he can't since M

Ruthie (Mackenzie Rosman) and Simon (David Gallagher) are going through boxes of cereal trying to find the prize when Eric (Stephen Collins) comes into the room.  The younger two are looking for a prize in the cereal when Eric comes into the kitchen. He tells them they have a foreign exchange student from France. Matt comes into the kitchen to get something out of the refrigerator and hears about the foreign exchange student. He doesn't like the idea since there is nowhere to sleep. Mary and Lucy come into the room as Eric asks for volunteers. They turn to leave but are stopped by their father. Ruthie tells the other girls about the guy from France. Mary is excited about it since it's a guy. Eric says he's "about Matt's age." Matt tells Ruthie they eat snails in France, and Ruthie is grossed out. (Escargot still grosses me out).  Matt asks his father if their mother knows about it, as Annie comes in with two bags full of groceries. She asks what they are

Lucy talks to her friend Sarah (Kayla Murphy) after school.  School is out, and Lucy and Sarah are talking about Michael, who was dumped by Maggie. Sarah sees her sister, Jen ( Marla Sokoloff ), and they walk over to her. Lucy tells Jen she thinks her new car is "so cool." Jen invites Lucy to join her and Sarah for pizza. Lucy learns that Jen lets Sarah drive sometimes in parking lots, not in traffic.  (If only she had stuck to that, or even better not let her drive at all).  Lucy says she (Lucy) has to talk to her parents, but she should be able to join them for pizza. Lucy tells them she will call them when she gets home, and they leave. Mary comes over upset that Lucy wasn't at the car. She said she and Matt have been waiting. Lucy tells her older sister about Jen having a new license, and Mary tells her she (Lucy) won't get permission to go. Lucy says she's going anyway.  Mary: Dream on, little rebel. Lucy exhales in frustration.  The opening credits come
