Carolyn's Review of Her DVDs

  Mary (Jessica Biel) tells Lucy about the co-ed sleepover. Jordan (Wade Carpenter) is carrying Lucy to the door. Jordan tells Mary he'll see her tomorrow night. Mary shoots him a look as Lucy asks how the two of them will see each other. Mary, now upstairs, yells down to Lucy, saying their mom wants her.  Lucy goes upstairs, and Mary tells her she just wanted to get her upstairs. She informs Lucy that the basketball sleepovers are co-ed. Mary says they just hang out. Mary tells her sister that their mother doesn't have a problem with the co-ed sleepovers because she doesn't know they are co-ed. Lucy asks if anyone is making out at the sleepovers, and Mary tells her no, but Lucy doesn't believe her. Matt passes between them, listening to music. He suspects they are talking about sex, but they both deny it. However, Matt doesn't believe it. Mary accuses him of accusing them because he can't find a topic for his Human Sexuality class project.   Annie (Catherine Hicks) practices the piano.  Matt and Simon are studying in the kitchen. Matt gets coffee, and Simon tells him he wants some, but Matt says it's not for kids. Lucy is talking to Jordan on the phone in the living room while her mother practices the piano. Annie gets frustrated. Lucy hangs up the phone, and Annie tells her she can't always be on the phone because there could be an emergency for Eric. (It amazes me that in the year 1996, they do not have call waiting).  Lucy gets upset and goes to her room. Ruthie comes in and sits on the piano bench next to her mother. She is chewing gum like a cow, and Annie makes her spit the gum out. Eric comes in next and tells her his old high school band is coming to Glen Oak. He tells her the band has an RV.  The band is staying at the Camden house but in the RV, not the actual house.  Eric: I would have called you, but the line's been busy. Annie: Lucy!   Ruthie (Mackenzie Rosman) wants her mom to buy her a video game.   Ruthie yells "Baboom!" and pretends to shoot and then pretends she got shot. According to Ruthie, "Baboom!" is a video game where a soldier walks around trying not to get shot or step on a landmine. Annie tells her there are real places where real children step on landmines and get seriously injured or killed. (Sad, but true). Ruthie tells her this isn't real and wants the video game, but Annie tells her she can't have it. (Good job, Annie)! After Annie leaves, Ruthie quietly yells "Baboom" again. Lucy is on the phone with Jordan, trying to convince him to see "Gone With the Wind." Annie comes into the kitchen and says she will go see it with her.
