Carolyn's Review of Her DVDs

  Ruthie (Mackenzie Rosman) has been eating after-church donuts - before church.  Annie and Matt are talking before church. Heather is back in town, but Matt claims he and Heather are just friends (does anyone actually believe him),  and he's still with Shauna. However, he's seen Heather, not Shauna, who is also back in town. He is frustrated his mother doesn't believe him.  Simon is concerned Deena isn't there. He and Annie go inside and see Ruthie, who has powder from a donut on her mouth but denies eating the donuts. Bert (Scott Terra) comes over to Ruthie and clearly has a crush on her. She, however, wants him to go away.  (I feel bad for Bert, he's an adorable kid).  They are partners for a school project, and he is overjoyed. She's like, "what ev."  Mary is outside getting Lucy, who is hiding from Andrew Nayloss "and his creepy parents." Lucy dated Andrew for a week but realized all she liked about him was kissing him.  Lucy offers to

  Ruthie (Mackenzie Rosman) and classmate Chrissy (Jessica D. Stone) are with their class in the library, learning about what makes a good story. Mrs. Beasley (Allyce Beasley) asks Ruthie's class what makes a good story.  Ruthie: It sounds real, even if it's just made up? Mrs. Beasley: Excellent answer. What else? The other children chime in with answers as well. She tells them that it's Library Week and they are having a short story contest, and she will pick which story is best, and the winner will get five dollars.  (I remember back when five dollars was worth something).  Ruthie and Chrissy are discussing the project after school. Chrissy says nothing exciting happens at her house, so she doesn't know what to write about, and her imagination could be better too. Ruthie offers to help her if she needs it.  Eric is at the church in his office, talking on the phone. He gets off and is really excited. The opening credits come up, and the theme song plays.   Eric (Stephen Collins) in his office at church.  Eric is in his office at the church when a mysterious lady appears, but she doesn't know if she wants to talk to him. She asks him if he's there daily, and he says he can be at his office whenever somebody needs him. She thinks she might feel like talking tomorrow and leaves. Eric loos confused and helpless. The theme song plays, and the opening credits come up.  Annie reads to the boys and teaches them the letter B ("Big B - little b, what begins with B?") . Eric enters the nursery and asks Annie if the other kids are home from school. He tells her about the mysterious girl and says he has seen her but doesn't remember where. She might go to school with Mary and Lucy.  The kids return from school. Mary says she doesn't want to do anything because she can't get into trouble if she doesn't do anything.  Eric and Annie come into the kitchen. Eric asks Ruthie how her day was, and she tells him it was bor
