Carolyn's Review of Her DVDs

  Eric (Stephen Collins) and Annie (Catherine Hicks) discuss Mary. The Camden's are eating dinner (sans Mary) . Annie asks Lucy to take the twins upstairs and get them ready for bed. Simon quickly volunteers to help Lucy, and Ruthie volunteers to help Simon. Once they are gone, Eric and Annie argue over Mary. Lucy comes down, and her mother tells her to babysit because she and her father are going out...separately.  The opening credits come up and the theme song plays.  The phone rings and it's a woman from the credit card collection woman (Mary Donnelly) . Lucy answers and says she's Mary's sister but the woman thinks she is lying and is really Mary.  Sargeant Michaels (Christopher Michael) is talking to other officers about setting up DUI roadblocks. The police officer who let Mary go a few weeks ago (Christopher Daniel Barnes) ("Losers" episode) tells Sargeant Michaels that he had let Mary go and that she had been drinking.  John (Chaz Lamar Shepherd)

  Mary Camden (Jessica Biel) is on the phone with her aunt. Matt meets Kim (Merritt Hicks) at the college library, but when he asks her out, she shoots him down.  Ruthie begs her mom to have a sleepover with her "two best friends." Annie wants her to wait until next weekend because it's been a busy week. Lucy volunteers to be in charge so Ruthie can have it this weekend. Annie agrees but tells Lucy she has no idea what she is getting into. Lucy: They'll come over after dinner, eat some popcorn, watch a video, and go to bed. The phone rings, and Annie answers, it's Julie (Deborah Raffin) . Annie talks to Julie and says something to Eric about helping Hank move his office. Then asks Mary if she wants to babysit all day tomorrow. Mary is excited because she really needs the money. Mary asks Julie when she should be there. Julie says she's concerned about having Mary babysit because of how unfocused and irresponsible she's been but Mary asks her to give her

  Eric (Stephen Collins) talking to Mary in the kitchen.  Eric is in the kitchen feeding Sam and David when Mary comes home. He thinks Annie sent her home to check on him, and she tells him that she just needs to find her mother because she asked her to pick up some soap. He tells her that she's upstairs.  Then Lucy comes in and puts a stack of college brochures on the table. Mary assumes Eric had her sister put them there because he is planning to get on her case about not going to college again. Lucy walks into the kitchen and explains that they are for her because she is applying for early acceptance. Mary then assumes that Lucy is only applying for early acceptance to make Mary bad. Lucy informs them that Mary is wrong, and it has nothing to do with her. (Lot of assuming going on in this scene. Don't they know what happens when you assume something)?   Annie (Catherine Hicks) talks with Eric in the kitchen.  Annie suggests her husband go out tonight alone for a bit and Eric likes the idea and says he needs some male bonding time. Annie tells him she has to go see her professor at seven to talk to him about her term paper so she can get it approved. Eric does not trust this professor, who claims he can only see Annie at this time. She tells him the meeting will be thirty minutes or less.  Annie suggests that Mary, Lucy, and Simon can babysit just as Lucy, Simon, and Ruthie are coming downstairs. Simon says he can't babysit because he is going out with a girl name Lu Lu, or at least he hopes he will be. Lucy tells her parents Simon is talking about Lou-Ellen Almire from their church.
